Start of “Chinese Proverbs and Maxims – Millennial Wisdom and a Few Characters” (ed. You Feng),
05/07/2021 before dinner
My goal, to find a civilization of interactive benevolent human relations.
Has the decivilization of domination already been too strong and erased all traces? Like Tutankhamun who erased his sister, Pharaoh before him, and took her tomb. There are some erasure forgets (a show on the 5). I hope it will be the same.
I have started reading some Chinese proverbs. Very good. François Cheng does the intro, he coordinated the collective translation/selection.
The proverbs are gathered in this article.
But they are also the day of their reading and writing of a comment.

“What makes a ren (human being) is nothing other than ren (virtue of humanity).”
Mencius (Warring States)
What makes a human is to be human.
“Heaven and hell, it is man who makes them.”
Deng Yubin (Yuan)
Heaven is made by man and hell by the inhuman.
“He who is content with little always has much, he who knows not how to be content never has enough.”
Ge Hong (Jin)
The human who is content with little always has much, the inhuman who does not know how to be content never has enough.
“The man of little is always sad and worried, the man of good is always serene and available.”
Analects of Confucius VII
Confucius preaches submission to the dominant.
Confucius thus distinguishes the human “man of little” “always sad and worried” by the inhumanity of decivilization of domination that kills him,
and the dominant “man of good” “always serene and available” to harm humans.
“The man of good rejoices in accessing the Way, the man of little is content in achieving his ends.”
Book of Rites
The human rejoices in finally accessing the human, the inhuman is satisfied for a second in harming others.
“The man of little speaks with his tongue, the man of good with his actions.”
Confucius
The inhuman is in rhetoric and broken promises, the human is human.
“The man of good is impartial and always seeks the universal, the man of little, ignoring the universal, confines himself to the sectarian.”
Analects of Confucius II
The inhuman is impartial, inflexible, perfect and always seeks the universal for himself only, others are said to be sectarian/enemies to be repressed/put back on the Right Path “rightly”.
“The man of good demands everything from himself, the man of little expects everything from others.”
Analects of Confucius XV
The human demands everything from himself and asks nothing of others (which is why 8 billion humans find themselves slaves of the inhumans), the inhuman expects/demands EVERYTHING from others, perfectly and fast.
“Looking at the sky from the bottom of a well and claiming the sky is narrow.”
Hang Yu (Tang)
This is what 8 billion humans can rightly say in decivilization of domination.
“In the eyes of a lover, his beloved is the most beautiful.”
Yes, but in decivilization of domination, love in a couple is almost impossible since everything is done to break it as quickly as possible. That’s why I don’t understand Az who is still there. I admire the performance.
And I must do EVERYTHING to kill decivilization of domination and finally live with 8 billion the civilization of interactive benevolent human relations. Then we can love each other as she deserves. She is worth it!
“An unexpressed passion resembles indifference.”
Du Mu (Tang)
That is inhuman to kill the human: “silence implies consent,” “silent majority,” the other is an enemy to kill before he says “hello!” and smiles at me.
“The moth rushes towards the flame.”
The inhuman rushes towards the woman and the human. But it is not the moth that burns; it is the moth that burns the woman and the human.
